Backlot Cinema & Diner is one of Blackpool's most exciting enterprises offering a multiplex cinema with one of the UK's largest IMAX screens, an American-style diner, conference, events and private hire.
I captured one of Backlot's grand opening VIP events ahead of opening to the general public.

Celebrating 20 years of the band, record-label rockers The Senton Bombs filled The Waterloo FY4 Music Bar for a legendary night of rock'n'roll, supported by Kjurious, who flew out from Denmark just for the occasion.

Lucy Wright - Artist
Commissioned by Horse + Bamboo in the Rossendale Valley as part of her ongoing Future Folk Archetypes project, Lucy's rushcart uses a reclaimed shopping trolley as a base and is accompanied by an all-female team of attendants wearing bespoke pyjamas—paying homage to the modern-day folk custom of going to the supermarket in your PJs.
Two ‘broom maidens’—traditionally tasked with sweeping the road in front of the cart as it is processed through the streets—lead the solemn procession improvising with squeegee mops.
